It is common practice to offset the transmission to create space for a wider rear tire, using an offset mounting plate. The offset mounting plate however does not take care of the 5th stud, often resulting in a cracked inner primary. Installation of our \"Fifth Brace\" overcomes this problem. Installation is simple. All bolts, nuts, spacers, washers and a comprehensive instruction is included. All you have to do is drill a 3\/8\" hole in the vertical part of the bracket on your frame, put \"The Fifth Brace\" on it and then bolt that bracket straight onto the trapdoor. The result is a more torsion resistant and stronger-than-stock construction that drastically reduces the chance of a cracked inner primary.
