The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for superior strength and longevity. Manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods offer exceptional durability. The crankpins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring robust performance. The design features the latest caged needle roller bearing technology, maximizing high-RPM durability. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategic side scalloping and vent slots, which minimize bearing race distortion during intense operation. Small ends are double drilled to enhance lubrication and cooling for the wrist pin bearing, especially important in configurations where the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed to produce an ultra-round bearing surface.
