The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit provides a robust and reliable connection between your piston and crankshaft. Manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods offer exceptional strength and durability. The crankpins are crafted from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc for enhanced wear resistance. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit is designed for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Furthermore, the small ends are double drilled, providing extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, especially critical when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed to produce an ultra-round bearing surface, ensuring reliability at high RPM. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers a seamless upgrade to your engine.
