Description
The S&S Cycle Cam Chest Kit is engineered to improve oil flow and valve train performance in gear drive Twin Cam engines. The oil pump and cam plate are precision machined from billet aluminum, featuring removable passage plugs for easy servicing. Independent scavenge sections efficiently manage oil in the flywheel cavity and cam chest, while debris screens in both scavenge pickups and a magnet in the cam chest prevent contaminants from entering the oil pump. This setup provides a 44% increase in oil flow on the supply side and a 58% increase on the scavenge side. The pressure relief valve is conveniently adjustable while installed. Included are S&S Quikee pushrods and precision tappets, hand-assembled to exacting tolerances, which reduce valve train noise and ensure fast pump-up at high RPM. The billet aluminum tappet cuffs, finished with a hard anodized black coating, offer superior strength and stability, especially in high-lift and high-RPM applications. This kit is a direct replacement for your existing cam chest components, providing a straightforward installation process.
